Atlantic Catering and Logistics Limited held its annual Supplier Engagement Forum for the year on Friday, July 14, 2023 at its head office in East Legon, Accra.
The Supplier Engagement Forum is one of our key local content initiatives intended to provide equal opportunities, transparency and accountability in sourcing. Atlantic presented it spend for the year 2022, the cumulative spend up to June 2023 and the projection for yearend 2023 as well as plans for the rest of the year to the twenty-five (25) suppliers who attended the forum.
As part of the plans, Atlantic shared its new requirements and sustainability plans in quest to build supplier capacity to meet the industry demand and requirements.
The event highlighted presentations on Procurement, Quality, Health & Safety, Finance, Human Resource and Corporate Social Responsibility methods of the company for suppliers to better their chances of maintaining and renewing contracts, correct shortcomings with quality & safety, conduct ethical business and gain insight into the company’s overall standards and procedures and most importantly, pledge their commitment to embed ACLL’s activities into their core operations.
The CEO for Atlantic Catering and Logistics Limited, Mrs. Maud Lindsay- Gamrat in her Welcome Address said, “Your output is our input. Endeavour to give off your best so together we can all grow and remain in business. We remain committed to the development and growth of local suppliers and I’m excited to see how anchored some of you have become by doing business with us”.
The CEO for Kesmeli Enterprise, providers of janitorial products, Mrs. Benedicta Asiome shared her success story on how working with ACLL since 2016 has impacted her growth process. She said “working with Atlantic has been an exciting journey for me thus far. Aside from the tremendous growth, I always get referrals from them and by following their quality standards and giving them what they need, I have incorporated their standards into my business operations thereby making my company ethically conscious. I look forward to lifelong, sustainable relationship with Atlantic”.
The forum was a success as suppliers reported having had fruitful open dialogue with ACLL’s supply chain team on procurement, quality, health & safety, sustainability processes and future plans.
