The Managing Director of Atlantic Catering, Mrs Maud Lindsay- Gamrat, has said that parents should be committed to the upbringing of their children to help reduce the number of abandoned children in the country.
According to her, a little love, care and support from parents would help to reduce the rate at which destitute children were dumped.
Mrs Lindsay-Gamrat said this when her company visited the Osu Children’s Home to support them with assorted items, including three boxes of Key soap, toiletries and soft drinks.
Others were fruits and assorted cookies and an amount of GH¢3,000 for their upkeep.
According to her, extending her company’s corporate social responsibility to these children was appropriate and timely. She called on other institutions to support such people in society to make life meaningful and worth living.
She said the company which started operations a year ago, provides services in catering, house-keeping, laundry and facilities management.
